The jubilee cycle of exhibitions for the Slavik Gallery’s 25th anniversary year opens with enchanting featherwear by Maria Baumschlager and jewellery by Nicole Heidemann that is deep with the mystery of creation.
Nicole Heidemann is an artist in constant dialogue with the natural world. Water glittering in the sunshine or the feel of a very special stone at the beach – her intuitive touch turns sense impressions into fascinating miniature sculptures.
Maria Baumschlager’s high-calibre feathery creations are plumage for the human body, hovering between fashion and pure art. Her lightsome shoulder wraps and collars in pheasant and partridge feathers boast eye-catching patterns and unique colour harmonies.
