A success we are particularly proud of is the official recognition we received for our jewellery art presentations on the Internet www.galerie-slavik.com. This project was initiated back in 2000 and has now been awarded a prize under the innovation and technology promotion programme Telematik & C Tech conferred by Executive City Councillor Dr. Sepp Rieder.

    The art magazines "Parnass" publishes in its spring issue 2/2001 and the magazine "Jewelry" in its June/July issue an article, written by Claudia Lehner-Jobst, of the doyen of the Italian Jewellery Art scene, Francesco Pavan, who has been represented in the Gallery Slavik since many years. Summer 2000:

  • Gallery Slavik in the art journal Parnass
  • The article "Kongeniale Perfektion und Poesie" written by Claudia Lehner-Jobst in the May issue of the art journal Parnass is dealing with the jewellery artists Jacqueline Ryan and Giovanni Corvaja. These outstanding jewellery artists had been discovered for Austria by the Gallerist Renate Slavik, who dedicates them on the occasion of the Wiener Festwochen an interesting exhibition. In cooperation with the Gallery Slavik edited the artists a monography which gives an excellent insight in their work.

  • Austrian contemporary jewellery artists show their creations in the exhibition Turning point in Vienna.

    Exhibition: 24 th May to 1 st July 2000 in the auditorium of the University of Applied Arts in Heiligenkreuzerhof.
    Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday: 11-18, Saturday: 10-17

    Actual works of the most important Austrian jewellery artists are shown on this exhibition beside an overview of the countries jewellery art scene of the last four generations. Contemporary jewellery reflects today’s phenomenon and is directly connected with the wearer. The exhibition will present the varied appareance of contemporary jewellery as well as indicate future impulses for the further development of the jewellery art.
    Many of the participating artists like the curator Fritz Maierhofer and Gabriele Kutschera, Elisabeth G. Defner, Margit Hart, Anna Heindl, Tomas Hoke, Helfried Kodre, Erika Leitner, Jacqueline Lillie, Manfred Nisslmüller, Karl Vonmetz and Susanne Baumgartner-Blin are represented in the Gallery Slavik.

  • Exhibition "Jewels of mind and mentality" in Amsterdam
    Beurs van Berlage, 19 th May to 10 th September 2000
  • This exhibition is an overview of the last 50 years of dutch jewellery art and presents unique creations of artists like Gijs Bakker, Annelies Planteijdt, Philip Sajet, Lucy Sarneel and Robert Smit, who are represented in Austria in the Gallery Slavik.
    The exhibition will also be shown in Padova, Philadelphia, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Wellington.
