Jewellery Art - Art to be Worn

"For the past ten years I have presented one-of-akind pieces, "Art to be Worn," in my gallery in Vienna's Himmelpfortgasse to please my clientele's desire to be unmistakable.
It is my opinion that the trend in contemporary jewellery is positively going over to individuality. This begins with my artists, who themselves are going down the most diverse roads. By presenting an inimitable selection of jewellery artists and their multivarious creations my gallery can offer most individual 'Art to be Worn'.
The work of jewellery artists is different from that of a goldsmith or a jewellery designer in that he or she does not divide the labour. The customer receives a piece of jewellery, a work of art, that reflects the entire creativity of the artist as well as the developing process of the piece from its conception to the actual creation. Museum purchases and publications appearing in the last few decades have also led to the documentation of the meaning of Jewellery Art for art collections. Over the years I have tracked down about 50 Austrian and international artists who I have supported and who in turn entrust me their work for the gallery.
And I don`t only offer my visitors a peek into new worlds of jewellery, but I also present my gallery as an entire concept - practically a walk-in art object.”
