It is with great joy that the Slavik Gallery is beginning its autumn cycle with the exhibition MANY-FACETED. It showcases new work by Margit J\u00e4schke and Georg Dobler, both of whom have long been amongst the gallery\u2019s closest associates.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Many-faceted indeed are the oeuvres of both artists, and so is their indirect collaboration. They both work in their own, separate ateliers, and at first sight their work is very different. On closer inspection, however, one constantly notices the depth of their attachment as partners and the fruits of their mutual inspiration.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Margit J\u00e4schke\u2019s <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>art jewellery is <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>inseparable from her visual artist\u2019s way of thinking. In fact it is hardly possible to draw a line between Margit J\u00e4schke the visual artist and Margit J\u00e4schke the jewellery and object artist. This rich cross-fertilization results in a great and exuberant freedom.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Georg Dobler<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2019s work displays reflections of nature in all its facets. He plays skilfully with geometry and illusions of geometry and draws rich inspiration from the facets of crystals and gemstones.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While their joint exhibitions at home and abroad bring out the differences between the artists\u2019 two positions, they also reveal how well and fruitfully they complement each other. Not for nothing are their works collected and exhibited by museums and galleries all over the world!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
