Opening  9 May, 6 – 9 pm with the artists

Vienna City Gallery Walk

Our 2019 Wiener Festwochen exhibition FIREWORKS with the jewellery artists Kazumi Nagano from Japan and Stefano Marchetti from Italy is the culmination of the present season. The powerfully sculptural character of the Italian goldsmith’s jewellery stands in fascinating contrast to the daintiness of form cultivated by his Japanese colleague.

The jewellery of Stefano Marchetti captivates us by being sculpture and architecture in miniature. Awarded the Herbert Hoffmann Prize in Munich in 2018, Marchetti is amongst the high-fliers of the international art jewellery scene.

Woven out of threads of bamboo and gold, the art jewellery creations of Kazumi Nagano testify to her special talent for clarity of form and exciting textures. Her colliers and armwear are evocations of our dreams and her seemingly weightless pastel brooches heavenly clouds of airy meringue.

We are looking forward to your being with us!

With warmest greetings
