‘Art is the umbilical cord that connects us with the divine.’ This is the thought guiding us as we launch our spring exhibition of creations by some of our most outstanding artists under the title WORLD JEWELLERY.

The late grand master of Italian art jewellery Bruno Martinazzi (d. 2018) left behind him an oeuvre marked by a strongly expressive sculptural quality. In his works – not only his jewellery but also his marble sculptures – timelessly durable materials enter into a complex dialogue with a language of forms rich in symbolic meaning.

Annamaria Zanella is exhibiting recent works from the time of the pandemic, the brooch ‘cantori’, for example, which echoes the voices of people keeping in touch by singing out from balcony to balcony.

A representative selection of brooches by Per Suntum takes us on an impressive tour through his varied oeuvre. Every brooch – whether it reproduces sand patterns from the Egyptian desert or is fashioned in reconstructed coral or the exciting new Japanese material of art clay gold – is a masterpiece.

The harmonious fusion of Japanese and European formal elements give the new enamelled pendants by Kaori Juzu a special fascination.

With a lot of joy we are presenting a great selection of Lisa Defner´s work. The attraction of this warm-hearted woman and outstanding jewellery artist one still can feel and see at her excellent jewellery art pieces, like this wonderful Ginko ring, a golden cast of a Ginko leaf ornamented with small rubies and an opale or her necklace “frutti di mare”, a beautiful memory of the sea.

The surface of the brooch by Helfried Kodré, which is handcrafted in a very high quality, has gotten a beautiful ornamentation through the bright red pigments on the embossing that was made by Heidemarie Herb.

Silver bangles by Joaquim Capdevila in the clear forms of the artist’s native Catalonia add a fine finishing touch to this top-quality exhibition.

Come and feel the breath of inspiration! And tank up with power, energy and faith in the future! With heartfelt greetings
